Become a mentor
Mentors get matched with new DJs who ask for them by name. Every pairing becomes a permanent credit on the Legacy Tree.

What mentoring involves: five points
No hours quota and no assigned roster. Read these five points before you apply.
- They come to you
Approved mentors appear in the public directory. DJs send a request, with a note, to the mentor they want, so nobody is assigned to you.
- You accept or decline, every time
Each request arrives with the DJ's goals and skill level. Declining is a normal answer, and they can ask someone else the same day.
- It happens in a private thread here
Accepting opens a private thread on this site for messages and mixes. No phone numbers are shared. Either of you can end a pairing or flag a concern to the event team at any time.
- No cap, and one switch to turn it off
Mentor as many people as you choose. When you are full, switch off “open to new apprentices” in your dashboard and requests stop until you switch it back on. Your profile stays up.
- The credit is permanent
Every DJ you mentor carries a “Mentored by” credit on their profile for good, and ending a pairing never erases it. Their branch on the Legacy Tree grows when they mentor someone else.
